Sharif Jewelers' ground-up store part of Roseville project
December 3rd, 2019
A retail project being reviewed by Roseville city officials would include Sharif Jewelers’ first ground-up developed store.
Creekside Center, at 1001 Creekside Ridge Drive, would have three buildings totaling about 12,000 square feet on 2.2 acres. Roseville’s planning commission will review the project this week.
Omar Sharif, a fourth-generation member of the Sacramento-based Sharif family, said Roseville is a city in which the company has long been interested.
“The Roseville area has always been a good market, but we wanted the right location,” said Sharif, who works in project development with Sharif Jewelers. The address at 1001 Creekside Ridge is next to retail center Creekside Town Center, and near both the Westfield Galleria at Roseville and Fountains at Roseville retail destinations.
“It’s been a learning experience because it’s our first ground-up construction,” he said.
Sharif Jewelers would be in both a 4,500-square-foot retail building and a 2,000-square-foot office building at Creekside Center. A 5,700-square-foot multi-tenant retail building would be the other building in the center. The jeweler's website lists for other local sites.
Sacramento-based Allegiant Development Co. Inc. is the property owner and developer. A representative for Allegiant said the company had no comment on the project.
According to a source familiar with the proposed retail development, tenant demand will dictate the construction schedule. Sharif said he would have a better idea of how soon his company could get started on its new store after the planning commission hearing.
The projected development cost for the project was not available.
